If you need more and dont want to go with a S16, you could consider replacing your X-USB card with the X-ADAT card. These were the only two headaches I ran into. Dear James, The X32 RACK also has 6 fully assignable and balanced 1/4' outputs that you can utilize as well, for a total of 14 outputs in combination with the XLR outs. Suddenly Logic 9 could see the interface and all my record enable buttons reappeared. Sure enough, double-clicking on the firmware download file while plugged into the X-USB updated the firmware.

After a lot of useless web scouring I found a fellow on a few different forums who said you had to update from a laptop plugged into the X-USB expansion card. The ASIO channels are picked as ASIO audio sources using the obs-asio plugin. We are using the X32 usb card to take inputs from 4 microphone back to the PC and OBS.

Windows users will first need to install the latest driver available from Behringer. We have done this with a poor audio until we acquired an X32 Behringer sound deck 2weeks ago. Connect the X32 to your computer via USB. The USB slot on the console was not the way to do it. Open the ROUTING menu, select the CARD OUT tab, and select new sound sources for the card’s output channels. I opted to update the card, but I couldn’t find any procedure for doing so. Either update your OS or update the card. hey Behringer i have problems seeing asio4all - x-usb card only have 4.

If you plan on using the X-USB card with any Mac running 10.6.8 – you HAVE to install the update. Happy to announce that we have new ASIO audio drivers for X32 (X-USB) and X AIR.

More tricky is the fact that this update did not update the firmware for the X-USB card. Firmware found and updated, and iPad remote control functionality restored! While using the USB drive recorder (latest firmware) after an unspecified and slightly random amount of time (more than 15 minutes in) I would lose control of the console. Did run into a bug the other night though. I had to soft-boot the Producer (switch the sample rate back and forth from 44.1 and 48) in order to restart the console – AND hold the VIEW button for the USB slot while I did it. 1 I have been using my X32 at least a few nights a week since September and it has been rock solid for the most part. The board is supposed to find the USB stick and automatically install the new firmware. Plug it into the USB slot at the top of the board and power the board up. Just download the firmware update from Behringer’s website. I did have a couple of minor issues, and I’ll answer them right here in case it benefits anyone out there.įirst, the Producer shipped with out of date firmware.

I use the X-32 Producer, and so far I’m blown away by the price to feature ratio. I'm planning on using the matrix buss for future recordings, but would rather find a solution for this sound level/limiting problem ASAP.The X-32 is a cool product in all it’s varieties. I've also noticed that any applied effects are not as present on the recordings as on the house mix. I send the house mix pre EQ directly to the recorder. I've looked through all relevant menus and can't find anything patched that can cause these problems. Since I usually give a band a copy of their performance immediately after their shows, I really need help in finding a way to avoid this squashed sound during recording. Perhaps I can fix it using an expander while editing so I can recover the sound, but as the files are typically large in size, this would be extremely time consuming. Again, this only seems to happen after increases in sonic dynamics, and doesn't pose any issues with just vocals and guitars or a couple other instruments that aren't 'taking over', so to speak. So when a band starts an intro, it sounds great, but once drums/vocals/guitar/or any other segment of the band takes over and increases in presence and volume, the sound becomes squashed and drastically drops in volume and overall sound quality. But I've noticed that the recording seems to have a limiter on it. I record live performances to a high quality flash drive, typically without any issues.
